Brandon Kaiser was a recurring character in The Hathaway Chronicles novel, Darkness Descending. He is best friends with Eddie Duell, and later befriended Zachary Pierce. Like Eddie, he is on the school's football team. In his sophomore year, he dated Lillian Rezza for a little over a year, but the two split after he decided to be with Isabel Florence, though he and Isabel broke up not long after. He later got entangled in Seana Kane's schemes. However, it was Isabel who turned him into a vampire since she wanted him to be with her. But he decided to not transition and spend his last night he had with Lily and their friends. He later left with Orion Petrescu and since he is presumed to have died on his own terms. In A Downward Spiral however, Seana reveals that he has been brutally killed in front of Isabel to teach her a lesson. This was what lead to her trying to kill Lillian though this was not revealed until the end of the series.
Brandon was a member of the Kaiser family.

Brandon Kaiser was born on January 12, 1995 in Seaside, California. He has an elder brother who is a few years older than him. He is currently attending Franklin High, and is on the football team.

Brandon appeared to be outgoing and your average jock when he first appeared, He was with Lily for over a year before he left her to be with Isabel Florence, due to her seducing him. When asked by Lily before his death why he ever went out with her, he told her he was just young and stupid, seeing that he had an amazing girl that he didn't deserve. He had a love for the arts, having taken art classes since freshman year of high school. After he was turned by Isabel, he expressed a willingness to die, as he didn't want to become a monster like Seana or Isabel. Celesta however, always mentioned him in a negative light and his treatment of her cousin when he broke up with her to be with Isabel, though this was mostly due to the fact that Celesta always disliked those that hurt her friends.

Brandon was described as being tall with dark hair and blue eyes. Since their break up, Lily described him as being just the same though it was noticeable that his face matured and got taller. Being on the high school's football team, it can be assumed he was well built as he was one of the receiver's for the team.
